COMMUNITY EVENT: Queer Birders Club

  • Marine Park Covered Picnic Pavilion Bellingham, Washington (map)

Come find your flock! The Queer Birders Club is for queer birders of all abilities and experience levels. We meet from 10-11:30am on the last Sunday of every month, all year long! Whether you're a seasoned pro or this is your very first time birding, this is a safe space to be yourself, have fun, and get curious about birds with other nature-loving queer folks! All of our walks are always facilitated by a professional queer naturalist and birder, who has over a decade of experience running birding and nature connection programs for folks of all ages. Bring your binoculars, a coffee, and anything you need to stay comfortable for the duration of our time outside.

The trail we will be exploring in June offers incredible looks at nesting Great Blue Herons and their babies as they fledge the nest and learn to fly. This area can be WINDY, so bringing along a sweater or windbreaker is recommended!
