Wellness Programs
We believe healing should be accessible to all, not just those with money or insurance. Being queer, trans, disabled, neurodivergent, or low-income should not mean being under-resourced, unseen, or isolated. Our bold vision is to transform queer wellness from an individual burden into an ecosystem where care is communal, healing is intergenerational, and health equity is not prescribed from the outside—but shaped and led by those who live it. We are building a more resilient, connected, and empowered LGBTQ+ community—one that not only survives, but thrives.
We partner with community providers to bring free support to those who’ve historically been excluded from health and wellness systems. These activities include:
Support groups facilitated by queer-competent, trauma-informed mental health providers
Mindfulness and meditation classes
Workshops and events led by wellness experts
Volunteer-led wellness affinity groups
Dimensions of Wellness
People often think about wellness in terms of physical health — nutrition, exercise, etc., but it is so much more. Wellness is not only being free of disease, illness, or stress but also having a purpose in life, being emotionally healthy, taking an active involvement in your work and in your leisure time, having joyful relationships and being happy. We strive to provide our local queer community with activities spanning many dimensions of wellness including:
Physical Wellness: Caring for the body through exercise, nutrition, sleep, and preventative care.
Emotional Wellness: Understanding and managing feelings.
Occupational Wellness: Finding personal satisfaction, balance, and growth in one's career or work life.
Intellectual Wellness: Engaging in lifelong learning, critical thinking, and creativity.
Environmental Wellness: Fostering a healthy relationship between oneself and the environment.
Financial Wellness: Managing finances to achieve realistic goals and planning for expenses.
Social Wellness: Building strong, healthy relationships and support systems with others.
Spiritual Wellness: Seeking meaning and purpose in life.
Cultural Wellness: Understanding and appreciating one's own culture and the cultures of others.
