Tabletop RPG Group

  • BQC Center 310 West Champion Street Bellingham, WA, 98225 United States (map)

We seek to build queer community together through collaborative storytelling.

We meet once a month to play tabletop roleplaying games. All skill levels welcome!

Most meetings, we play Dungeons & Dragons (2025 edition). When there’s high turnout and someone willing to run a second game, we split into groups.

For the main D&D game:

New players: Welcome!

  • We will have premade characters

  • If there’s time we can help you make one!

Experienced players: Want to bring your own character? Stellar! Build a character like this:

  • Level 1

  • Good or Neutral characters only (no Evil characters)

  • Use the 2025 version of 5th edition (aka 5.5e)

    • Player’s Handbook Only

    • Use either the “standard array” or “point cost” methods (PHB, pg 38)

    • You may spend starting gold on equipment from the Player’s Handbook

  • No homebrew or Unearthed Arcana content

Our DMing Style

  • Queer-friendly, escapist power fantasy

  • Grounded setting, neither goofy nor grimdark (think Dimension 20, Lord of the Rings, or Baldur’s Gate III)

  • “Theater of the mind” instead of maps and minis

  • Dungeon-focused, an old school style with modern sensibilities

  • We let the story emerge rather than pre-script it

  • Safety tools: Lines & Veils and X-Card
